North Dakota State- Summitt

Departed coach/record:  Maren Walseth, 5 seasons (40-106 overall, 19-59 in the Summit)

Reason for departure:  Walseth came to North Dakota State after seven seasons as an assistant at Penn State and just never got it going. The team finished in 7th place in the Summit for the third straight season. Walseth and the school mutually agreed to part ways.

New coach/previous position: Jory Collins, Kansas assistant coach: After just one season as an assistant at Kansas, Collins gets the nod at North Dakota State. Now, don’t be confused; he has a stellar head coaching record already. Prior to Kansas, Collins was the head coach at Emporia State for eight seasons. While there, he compiled a 199-56 record, including six straight trips to the Sweet Sixteen and one to the Final Four. He will take over a Bison program who has struggled mightily in recent years.
