Rhode Island- A10

Departed coach/record:  Daynia La-Force, 5 seasons (46-102 overall, 19-59 in the A10)

Reason for departure:  La-Force started her tenure at Rhode Island with an excellent first season, going 17-13 (8-8) and seemingly laying the groundwork for a successful future. Unfortunately, that never happened and the team failed to win more than five conference games every season after.

New coach/previous position: Tammi Reiss, Syracuse assistant coach: A legendary college player at Virginia in early 1990’s, Reiss has spent the past 20 years or so cutting her teeth as an assistant. She comes to Rhode Island after spending the past four seasons at Syracuse, helping the Orange become one of the top teams in the ACC.

In addition to Syracuse, Reiss has also worked at Cal State Fullerton, San Diego State, and Virginia, plus time as an assistant in the WNBA for the San Antonio Silver Stars and the Utah Starzz.
