7. Los Angeles Sparks: Napheesa Collier, 6’1 F, Connecticut

Collier, like Samuelson, comes with UConn pedigree, a very high basketball IQ, and should help the Sparks as a logical three to put next to Nneka Ogwumike and Candace Parker, for instance—or even a lineup featuring a certain center the Wings have on the trade market, too. We’ve spoken about the ways she can help Derek Fisher and the Sparks at both ends, but don’t ignore the aspect of Collier’s profile that might be most important on this veteran team — she is a consummate professional as a college player, earning non-stop affection from Geno Auriemma for the work ethic and consistency of her game. It’s going to be an easy translation to the WNBA for Napheesa Collier, and would be a seamless integration into a Sparks team that is going to be looking at a new identity under Fisher.
