This remains the most logical combination of slot, talent, team need and fit in the entire draft. Let’s move beyond her defense, the given, and talk about what she’s doing on the offensive end. Her 64.8 percent from the field reflects both a more varied collection of post moves and an increased ability to finish in traffic. Teams are throwing doubles and triples at her, and it doesn’t matter. Now consider that she’ll have a chance to work against single coverage most of the time at the next level. Her free throw percentage has climbed above 75 percent, too, suggesting she’ll be able to continue adding to her range, with a robust midrange the logical next step. And she’ll be in the hands of Pokey Chatman, who is no stranger to developing bigs.
