Storrs:

1. Connecticut (AAC)
16. Robert Morris (NEC)

8. Arizona State
9. Indiana

Milwaukee:

5. Florida State
12. Auburn

4. Marquette (Big East)
13. Belmont (OVC)

Arizona State is an 8 seed for now, but with two games against ranked teams to close the regular season, that’s almost certainly going to change one way or the other. The Sun Devils may have given us some false hope earlier in the year with that double overtime win in Corvallis, but that remains their only win over a ranked team this year. Arizona State has the talent of a top-five seed, but it has not played to that level. We’ll see if that changes.

Corvallis:

6. South Dakota
11. Rice (Conference USA)

3. Oregon State
14. UC Davis (Big West)

Raleigh:

7. Rutgers
10. West Virginia

2. NC State
15. VCU (Atlantic 10)

Pretty much the only shot NC State has at elevating to a 1 seed is by winning at Louisville on Thursday, not losing until Selection Monday, and getting some help along the way. But that’s fine! At 24-3, the Wolfpack have proven enough in the regular season and have earned the opportunity to not face a top team until the Elite Eight. Then again, hypothetical ACC Tournament wins over Notre Dame and another over Louisville could make the conversation interesting.
