No, don’t worry, Ohio did not move up two seed lines with a loss last week. It actually only moved up one, and it’s a product of the Bobcats splitting games against top-75 teams (Kent State and Buffalo), and, honestly, other teams, like West Virginia, just falling below them. Ohio remains a tough team to place because of its excellent record and RPI, but lack of real signature wins. I have it comfortably in the field, others have them just missing the cut. Honestly, it could be either or anywhere in between.

Mississippi State has only lost twice all year and both losses were to quadrant one opponents. The Bulldogs will close the regular season with a quad two game against LSU and a quad one game at South Carolina. Unfortunately for them, Notre Dame has racked up enough great wins that it’ll be tough to catch with an RPI teetering on the edge of the top 10.
