5. Dallas Wings: Kalani Brown, 6’7 C, Baylor

So we know a bit more about how the post-Cambage Dallas Wings look. They have Glory Johnson, but not Karima Christmas-Kelly. And it is easy to conceive of a frontline with Johnson and Brown at the 4/5, complementary players capable of taking opposing bigs away from the basket and grabbing the big rebound when necessary, too. There’s defensive versatility here that Brian Agler is going to love. And Brown provides a fundamentally different look at the five than Theresa Plaisance, giving the Wings more options in halfcourt play (though Brown’s abilities in transition are underrated and have evolved considerably). Short answer: Brown is a franchise center the Wings would be getting at five here, and give them a chance to focus on other areas of need with the return on a Cambage deal.
