Huff blows away the competition.

Utah’s Megan Huff was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week for games played last week. It is the second time this season, and second for her career, that Huff has taken home the weekly honors.

In two games played last week, both Utah wins, Huff averaged 20.5 points per game on 42.9 percent shooting from the field, and 11.0 rebounds. She also had three steals and two blocked shots.

Huff helped lead the Utes to two big victories, one over Cal and the other over Stanford who was ranked No. 6 in the nation at the time. In the win over Cal, Huff put up 24 points on 53.8 percent shooting from the field, 8-9 from the free-throw line, nine rebounds, two steals, and one block.

She followed that up with 17 points, 6-6 from the free-throw line, 13 rebounds, and four assists in the win over Stanford.

More from NCAA

Throughout the season, Huff has been one of the most consistent and best players in the Pac-12 conference. On the season, she’s averaging 19.7 points per game on 50.6 percent shooting from the field, 9.6 rebounds, and 1.2 blocked shots. She’s also shooting 82.1 percent from the free-throw line and 40.7 percent from the three-point line.

Huff is very talented low post player, but she is very skilled offensively with the ability to step out and knock down perimeter jump shots. In her final year of college basketball, she’s having the best season of her career and has emerged as a legitimate WNBA prospect.

Not only is she having her best season, but she’s helped lead the Utes to the best season in school history. They’re currently 18-1 and 7-1 in conference play. Their No.14 ranking is the highest in school history.

They’ll look to continue their strong play on Friday when they travel to Oregon.
