Storrs:

1. Connecticut (AAC)
16. Sacred Heart (NEC)

8. Central Michigan (MAC)
9. BYU (WCC)

Piscataway:

5. South Carolina
12. Georgia Tech

4. Rutgers
13. Quinnipiac (MAAC)

If you’re 7-0 in the Big Ten at this point, you deserve to host. The Scarlet Knights stayed unbeaten in conference with home wins over Purdue and Michigan State last week and are now two games ahead of the pack, with a tough one at Iowa coming up. Facing a potential 5 seed South Carolina wouldn’t exactly be the greatest reward, but the Gamecocks are still likely to move up as SEC play continues.

Syracuse:

6. Arizona State
11. Butler

3. Syracuse
14. Troy (Sun Belt)

Starkville:

7. Michigan State
10. Virginia Tech

2. Mississippi State (SEC)
15. Radford (Big South)

You sitting here thinking about a UConn-Rutgers and Mississippi State-Syracuse Sweet 16 pairing in Albany? Yeah, me too. It’s like an old Big East Tournament with some added Vic Schaefer and Teaira McCowan. WHO SAYS NO?*

*other than Arizona State and South Carolina in this scenario. That’d be cool too.
