South Bend:

1. Notre Dame (ACC)
16. Mount St. Mary’s (NEC)

8. Central Michigan (MAC)
9. Michigan

Milwaukee:

5. Kentucky
12. New Mexico (Mountain West)

4. Marquette (Big East)
13. Northeastern (Colonial)

We don’t talk much about the Colonial on here, but let’s give Northeastern some credit as a solid potential 13 seed. In fact, the Huskies check just about every box the committee considers when seeding a team. Road record? They are 4-1 with wins at Providence, Florida, and Dayton. Good wins? The aforementioned Dayton game and a home contest against Maine. Reasonable losses? Only defeat is at an RPI top-100 Marist team. Now to take care of business in the CAA.

Ames:

6. Virginia Tech
11. South Carolina

3. Iowa State
14. Lamar (Southland)

Palo Alto:

7. Minnesota
10. North Carolina

2. Stanford
15. Northern Colorado (Big Sky)

Hey, speaking of teams that are on a roll, how about the Cardinal? They responded to their lone loss of the season — a respectable one at Gonzaga — by beating Baylor at home and then Tennessee and Buffalo on the road. A weekend homestand with wins over USC and UCLA could put Stanford on the doorstep of a 1 seed.
