Howard: Okay, to wrap!

What game are you most excited to see this week? I’ll start. For me, it is Connecticut and Washington. Two of the three teams that have impressed me most, Elena Delle Donne back.

Arielle: I was JUST about to say that. I’m right with you Howard! Two very athletic, deep teams. Connecticut is on a roll, so let’s see if they can keep the momentum

Howard: I want to see what that matchup looks like, who on the Sun guards EDD, what the Mystics do about Courtney Williams, and whether Chiney Ogwumike’s three-pointer, the first of her whole career, is repeated

Arielle: Battle of athleticism!

Lindsay: Connecticut crushed the Mystics so badly last week that I’m still a bit scarred! But it was at the end of like 4 games in 4 states in 6 days, plus no EDD. So it will be interesting to see if there’s a turnaround.

Howard: Yes, exactly!

Lindsay: But I’m also excited for another Cambage/Griner match-up on Tuesday, now that they’ve both found their rhythm a bit.

Mitchell: I was just typing that. I think Cambage was better than Griner in that first meeting, but the Mercury won. Now that they have both hit their stride a bit, this could be a fun battle in the paint.

Erica: I’m curious to see how the Liberty do against both Las Vegas and Minnesota. Yesterday was a must-win, but not the most solid win for them. (edited)

Howard: Yes, and we’ll have Jasmine there to write about it. They’ve both been exceptional so far.

Jasmine: I’m ready for round 2

Rachel: Im excited for the Fever to host the Aces at home. I feel like they are right on the verge of breaking through for their first win of the season.

Lindsay: Also, personally (breaking the rules here), I’m excited for Mystics/Sparks on Friday. The Sparks don’t get to DC often, and hopefully Delle Donne will be fully healthy by then.
(Something we can talk about later, but that I’m already stewing about: Where in the world does Tayler Hill fit in on this deep Mystics squad when she comes back in a couple of weeks?)

Howard: She’s probably the one who needs to guard Courtney Williams, but it’s true, not an easy balance. Well, this has been spectacular fun, everybody!

Great job, and thank you for your time, as always!
