Top 20 WNBA players countdown, ranked for the 2018 season: Part 2
6. Candace Parker
Here’s the best way to understand how Candace Parker has dominated in her decade of WNBA play: she’s led the league in assist percentage. She’s led the league in defensive rebounding percentage. She’s led the league in block percentage. These all came in different seasons. Obviously, she’s been an elite scorer, too, but the hallmark of Parker’s WNBA career is less that she can do it all, and more that she manages to identify what her team needs her to do, and then she does it better than anyone in the league. Expect more of the same in 2018.
