Sun showdown: What we learned, WNBA preseason in Connecticut day 1

Preseason games have commenced, including a four-team tournament in the Mohegan Sun, hosted by the Connecticut Sun. The Sun joined the New York Liberty, Los Angeles Sparks and Dallas Wings in the two-day showdown.
Though several core players have not returned from international play, preseason allows the fans to get a slight preview of what’s to come regular season. Players fresh from training camp are fighting for a roster spot in one of the twelve teams. There were a few standouts from yesterday’s games.
