A source familiar with the situation has informed Summitt Hoops that Toledo associate head coach Vicki Hall is set to be named the new Indiana State head coach. This will be Hall’s first collegiate head coaching job.

Hall, a Texas Longhorn great and Indiana native, just finished her sixth season at Toledo and has helped the Rockets turn into a consistent contender in the MAC. During her time in Toledo, the team has gone 124-71 overall and 66-40 in the MAC. During that span, the team has gone to two WNITs and one NCAA tournament.

Prior to Toledo, Hall was an assistant at both New Mexico and Miami (OH). Before that, she served as the head coach of Bank Leumi, a professional team in the Women’s “B” League in Tel Aviv, Israel. After taking over the team mid-season, Hall helped the team climb the standings and finish in 2nd place.

Before entering the coaching field, Hall was a decorated player herself, culminating to a 16-year professional career. Hall had stints with the Colorado Xplosion (1998-99) and Nashville Noise (1999-2000) of the ABL and the Cleveland Rockers (2000-01) and Los Angeles Sparks (2002) of the WNBA. She also spent seven years playing for teams in Italy, France and Israel, helping lead Pool Comense to the ‘Final Four’ in Italy in 2006. Hall also played for teams in Switzerland and Greece.

As a Longhorn, Hall lettered four years (1988-93) and finished her career ranked in the top 10 in six different categories: three-point field-goal percentage (.404, 3rd), total points (1,831, 6th), three-point field goals (115, 6th), points per game (15.6, tied for 6th), field goals (718, 7th).
