Bracketology Update: Upsets abound at the bottom of the bracket

The major conference tournaments have been done for some time now, so there hasn’t been much change on the bubble. The main intrigue has come in the smaller conferences, where upsets have rocked the 14-16 seed lines and changed some first-round matchups for the Final Four contenders.

The exception is in the MAC, where Central Michigan won the conference title and beat two RPI Top 100 teams along the way. The Chippewas moved all the way up to the 7 line on the true seed list, but were bumped down to an 8 as a procedural bump in order to keep ACC and SEC teams from facing each other in the second round.
