Good morning! We’re back today with your daily bracket update. In terms of the field itself, not a whole lot has changed. You’ll see that in the Kansas City regional, there was some minor shifting around, but no new teams entered or left.
The real action happened just outside the field.
If you’ve been living under a rock (or you couldn’t watch the Big Ten Tournament because Jim Delaney ruined the conference schedule), you might have missed that Michigan State and Indiana played a bonkers quadruple-overtime game last night. It was wild. Some fun facts from that game: No one fouled out of the game until the fourth overtime and Indiana had zero points off the bench. More importantly, the game just about ended Michigan State’s at-large chances. We had the Spartans in the next four out as of yesterday, and with no more games to play, they will not have a chance to play their way into the field. They can only hope that the selection committee strongly disagrees with us. It’s possible.
Also in the Big Ten Tournament, Rutgers defeated Purdue. That also ends Purdue’s hopes in our eyes and keeps Rutgers in the field. For now. Take a look at the whole thing above.
