Skylar Diggins-Smith of the Dallas Wings has re-established herself as one of the best combo guards in the league after returning from injury. She has continued to progress and work hard to this day, which has allowed her to be a participant at the WNBA USA Olympic Training Camp earlier this month in South Carolina.

Digging-Smith, who does not go overseas, continues to work with her trainers and do things her way, and it has looked to pay off. Over the last few years we have seen some of the veterans take the overseas year off to rest up, but Diggins isn’t a fan of going overseas.
The results have shown as she had a great season with the Wings last year, leading Dallas to an unexpected playoff berth, and playing a leadership role on a roster with five rookies.
After Day 2 of USA camp, we decided to talk to Skylar but we wanted to learn a little about her off the court. We know she’s had a good basketball career from college to the pros already, but there’s much more to Diggins than a deadly jumpshot and ability to get to the hoop at will.
