WNBA teams and players were allowed to begin negotiating deals January 15, but those deals can officially be signed now that the calendar has turned to February. Here’s a running log of what we know from Tuesday, February 13, the eighth day of WNBA free agency:

Dream add to training camp roster

The Atlanta Dream signed 2012 undrafted forward Adaora Elonu to a training camp contract. The Dream have nine guaranteed contracts for 2018. Elonu appears to have signed on with one of the few WNBA teams that may have a roster spot to offer to one of its training camp invitees once the dust settles. The same can be said for the No. 15 selection in the upcoming draft, assuming the Dream do indeed keep and use the pick to help round out their roster.

Fever re-sign Shenise

The Indiana Fever have re-signed Shenise Johnson, a player that has been a key cog in their wing rotation since arriving via trade in 2015. Johnson suffered a torn ACL back in July and has spent the winter rehabbing in Indianapolis.

Mercury re-sign Bonner

The Phoenix Mercury have re-signed designated core player DeWanna Bonner. The 2015 First Team All-WNBA selection missed the 2017 season due to pregnancy.
