WNBA teams and players were allowed to begin negotiating deals January 15, but those deals can officially be signed now that the calendar has turned to February. Here’s a running log of what we know from February 9, which shall officially be referred to as day seven of WNBA free agency:

Fever re-sign Pohlen-Mavunga

The Indiana Fever have re-signed sharp-shooting guard Jeanette Pohlen-Mavunga, who was drafted by the Fever back in 2011 and has been with the club ever since.

Liberty re-sign 4 players

We’ve got Lyttle & Little in Phoenix and another year of Allen & Allen in New York. The Liberty re-signed Rebecca Allen and Lindsay Allen. The team also re-signed Bria Hartley and Kia Vaughn — two of its starters from last year’s squad.

What about day 6?

With just one transaction occurring Thursday, there was no diary for day six of WNBA free agency. That move was a significant one, though, as designated core player Angel McCoughtry re-signed with the Atlanta Dream.

You can read more about the signing of McCoughtry here.

We have a schedule!

The WNBA released the schedule for the 2018 regular season. The Dallas Wings will travel to Phoenix to take on the Mercury to open up the season May 18. All 12 teams will be in action two days later, highlighted by a WNBA Finals rematch between the Los Angeles Sparks and Minnesota Lynx at the Target Center in Minneapolis on ESPN2.
