You can be sure Curt Miller saw the way Victoria Vivians embraced the moment Monday night, when Mississippi State defeated South Carolina in Starkville. Vivians shot without hesitation, the way Miller urges his team to do, and scored 20 points by halftime. Vivians has increased her efficiency dramatically — from an effective field goal percentage of 42.5 percent last year to 56.1 percent this year — while her defense remains underrated (2.3 steal percentage) and she simply never turns the ball over (8.0 turnover percentage). She’s a four in the WNBA, and Vic Schaefer has her playing the position now. It has transformed her game.
