Host and Editor-in-Chief of The Summitt (SummittHoops.com) Howard Megdal is joined by Bill Laimbeer, head coach and general manager of the Las Vegas Aces.

Laimbeer discusses the deals he’s already made this month—for players like Carolyn Swords, Kelsey Bone and Tamera Young—plus the trio of elite guards he inherited from the San Antonio Stars, along with how he plans to deploy them: will Kelsey Plum, Moriah Jefferson and Kayla McBride play together? How often and when?

Plus, Laimbeer talks how he plans to build around this group and whoever he might pick in the draft (A’ja Wilson seems likely). There’s other picks as well to consider, and Laimbeer takes us inside his methodology for evaluating his options. He is frank as usual about how and whether he’d considering dealing that top pick, too.

Laimbeer also expresses his regret over not winning a championship in New York, the reasons he decided it was time to move on, and what drives him as a competitor even now, after he’s won so many times as a player, a coach and GM.
