South Bend:

1. Notre Dame
16. New Mexico State (WAC)

8. Arizona State
9. Nebraska

Since that blowout loss to Louisville, the Irish have beaten Tennessee and won at both Florida State and Duke. Nothing to worry about here. But perhaps teams should start worrying about Nebraska, despite its recent loss to Maryland. That 8-0 road record says a lot about the team’s resilience.

Athens:

4. Georgia
13. James Madison (CAA)

5. Villanova
12. Mercer (Southern)

The good news: Georgia has won eight out of nine, is 20-3 overall, and is 8-2 in the SEC. The other side to that: The Bulldogs still have to travel to Knoxville and face South Carolina at home.
