When you think of greatness, you think of Ohio State guard Kelsey Mitchell. In Saturday’s game against Michigan State, Mitchell scored 23 points to become the Big Ten’s all time leading scorer, man or woman.

In this game, Mitchell scored 3,098 points, passing Rachel Banham (3,093) while at Minnesota. Mitchell also extends her 3-pointer record to 449. On January 13, she eclipsed the 3,000 career-point mark. She became the 13th women’s player to accomplish that feat.

In her college career, Mitchell has racked up a load of conference and national accolades. She has been the Big Ten player of the year twice (2015,2017), player of the week 11 times, national player of the week 4 times. It is no doubt that she will be a force once she enters the WNBA this season. Whichever team gets her will get an ultimate workhorse filled with amazing talent. Also pretty sure the teams in the Big Ten will be glad to finally not be torched by her again as well.

The Buckeyes has suffered a bit of a skid in their schedule. They lost three-straight games, but managed to bounce back against Michigan State at home. They look to keep the streak going against the Penn State Nittany lions Wednesday. Tip off starts at 7 p.m.
