NCAA Women’s Basketball Bracketology: Projecting the field of 64, Version 1.0
Columbus:
2. Ohio State (Big Ten)
15. American (Patriot)
7. Syracuse
10. Alabama
For those looking for a chance to see Kelsey Mitchell do Kelsey Mitchell things, look no further than the Columbus pod. As a team, the Buckeyes are putting up nearly 90 per game, and if you’re not salivating at the thought of an Elite Eight matchup with UConn, I can’t help you. In the other half of the pod, you can put me all in on Alabama. The Tide struggled to start the year, but have now won eight out of nine, winning at Arkansas on Sunday. They haven’t done much out of conference, which will hurt, but if Utah can make a run in the Pac-12, that win would look even better.
Eugene:
3. Oregon (Pac-12)
14. Hartford (America East)
6. Oklahoma State
11. Princeton (Ivy)
Oregon has a serious case for a 2 seed, especially with the Ducks’ win at UCLA on Sunday. That road swing at USC and UCLA is one of the toughest in the conference, and Oregon survived unscathed. Oklahoma State, meanwhile, has also beaten UCLA and owns a win over Oklahoma. The Cowgirls are trending up.
