5. Jessica Breland
2017 notable stats: 38.1 percent from three, 5.2 block percentage
Projected 2018 role: Starting four
I’m not sure there’s a more underrated player in the WNBA than Jessica Breland. Not only has she been a career-long rebounding machine, capable of guarding threes, fours or fives, she went out and added a shot from beyond the arc in 2017 while finishing third in the league in block percentage. And yet, she’s made just one all-star team*, she’s played for three teams, somehow she gets overlooked as she nears 30. It absolutely puzzles me.
