Dangerfield, Davis Repeat Winners of AAC Weekly Awards

UConn’s Crystal Dangerfield is the AAC Player of the Week and Temple’s Mia Davis is the Freshman of the Week.  The duo earned the same honors the first week of the season.  Davis was also Freshman of the Week last week.

Player of the Week
Against a high-scoring DePaul team last week, Dangerfield played tight defense and scored 18 points, all on 3pt shots.  She is shooting more than 53% from behind the arc this season and more than 5 assists per game. The sophomore is among the league leaders in assists, 3pt field goals and assist-to-turnover ratio.

Freshman of the Week
With three Freshman of the Week awards earned by mid-December, Davis is emerging as one of the top freshman in the country. Last week, she averaged a double double in points and rebounds. She is third in the league in rebounding averaging 9.7 per game and first in offensive rebounds.
