USF’s Laksa, UCF’s Kaba Take Weekly AAC Player Awards

Junior Guard Kitija Laksa of USF is the AAC Player of the Week following four games where she averaged 23.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game on 58-percent (19-of-33) shooting from 3-point range.  The Bulls went 3-1 over the week with the only setback being a 10-point loss to No. 6 Notre Dame.

Masseny Kaba, a forward at UCF, is the Freshman of the Week.  She contributed to her team’s 2-1 record for the week averaging 6.3 points and 5.0 rebounds.  She added five blocks over the three games.

Averaged 19.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in three games at the UNM Thanksgiving Tournament
