Game 1 featured what would have been the greatest comeback in WNBA history by the Lynx and a game-winning shot from Chelsea Gray of the Sparks. Game 2 featured the Sparks erasing a 20-point deficit and Minnesota’s vaunted defense shutting down Los Angeles late to even the series.
Both Derek James, who covers the Lynx for The Summitt, and Ben Dull, who does the same for the Sparks, have been on hand with the two teams. You can read their Game 2 takeaways here, one from each side.
They joined host Howard Megdal to discuss Rebekkah Brunson’s breakout Game 2, the role Sylvia Fowles plays in the Minnesota offense, just whether it is possible to stop Gray, the varied ways Candace Parker beats you, coaching choices and much more.
Listen to Dull, James and get smart on what is already shaping up to be one of the greatest WNBA Finals matchups ever, which is a remarkable testament to what followed last season’s epic five-game set.
