The Summitt WNBA Daily Fantasy Sports Report: 8/4/17

There are five games on the schedule for Friday. The first games pit the Sky at the Fever and the Mercury at the Sun at 7:00 PM ET. The Mystics are at the Stars and the Storm are at the Wings at 8:00 PM ET, followed by the Liberty at the Sparks at 10:30 PM ET. Here are my daily fantasy value picks for the slate.

Guard

Jewell Loyd, SEA at DAL ($6600 in FanDuel, $8700 in DraftKings): Loyd has been one of the hottest fantasy guards in the league in her last two games, averaging 26.5 points with 5.0 assists, 4.0 boards and 1.0 steals. That is above her usual level, but if she plays at even 75% of that level on Friday she beats her season-long average.

Danielle Robinson, PHO at CON ($5100 FD, $6300 DK): Robinson, like several of her Mercury teammates, has picked up her production in recent games as the team tries to fill the vacuum of Brittney Griner’s absence. In her last three games, she has averaged 10 points with 5.3 assists, 4.0 boards and 3.0 steals.

Odyssey Sims, LA vs NY ($4400 FD, $4400 DK): Sims has had arguably her two best games since the season opener in her last two outings. Last week she posted 22 points (season-high), four assists and two steals against the Stars followed by four points, eight assists (season-high), three boards and two steals against the Wings. She’s a risk to produce, as she had scored single-digit fantasy points in four of her previous five games before this stretch, but at her price she could be worth taking a swing on.
