After an amazing All-Star Game in Seattle, the WNBA and all its 144 stars return to action. First up is the Washington Mystics at San Antonio Stars. Doug Feinberg of the Associated Press tweeted that both Elena Delle Donne and Kayla McBride will suit up for today’s matinee:
Good news for the @WashMystics that @De11eDonne is playing today.

And good news for the @SAStars that @kaymac_2123 is also playing today

Additionally, the Stars gave a little sneak peak of K-Mac warming up and reminding fans to tune-in to NBA TV for the live action:

Delle Donne missed out on the All-Star Game after suffering a right ankle sprain in the game against Indiana on July 14. All-Star selection Delle Donne is averaging 18.7 points and 6.2 rebounds for the Mystics. All the buzz around her off-season move has held, and the Mystics sit in fourth place overall, just behind the Connecticut Sun.
McBride was sidelined with a left ankle injury against the Connecticut Sun on July 16. She is averaging 15.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. First-year head coach Vickie Johnson put a lot of faith in McBride, and for good reason. She seems to be the heartbeat of a struggling San Antonio team.
We will find out this afternoon if Delle Donne and McBride return fully healthy, or if head coaches Mike Thibault and Johnson will manage minutes.
