SEATTLE—The Summitt’s Arielle Chambers caught up with Chelsea Gray and Elizabeth Williams in the locker room prior to Saturday’s WNBA All Star Game, which can be seen at 3:30 PM on ABC.

Both are worthy selections. Gray has been a better than break-even proposition from three-point range so far this season, checking in at 50.9 percent from deep, to go along with a robust 52.4 percent from two as she’s played excellent defense and quarterbacked the Los Angeles Sparks’ offense.

Williams, playing the true center spot for the league’s third-ranked defense, ranks third in the league in block percentage. She’s seen her shooting percentage jump from 44.2 to 49.1 percent, while she ranks tenth in the league in defensive rating.

They both have another thing in common: alma mater. In fact, Duke rates second among all collegiate representation at the game, trailing only Connecticut.

The addition of Gray to the West provides an infusion of youth to a veteran squad, while Williams joins an extremely young East group that includes a trio of Connecticut Sun players.

Both Gray and Williams are playing in their first all star game Saturday afternoon. Watch them discuss it right here, and then watch them take the floor for the first time as all stars.
