We all know that age-old saying: When the best basketball players on Earth are in Seattle, they must go to the Space Needle.

Rebekkah Brunson did just that on Friday, and The Summitt caught up with her to discuss the view, whether she is afraid of heights, and most importantly, the coming WNBA All-Star festivities.

Two important notes from the end of this video:

  • Brunson, not surprisingly, is predicting a West victory. Of course she’d say that — the Lynx veteran is suiting up for the Western Conference. But it’s important to get her on the record here.
  • It’s also not a surprise that she’s going with her teammate Maya Moore to win the three-point contest. No pressure, Maya, but now you kind of have to win it.

Brunson made the All-Star team as an injury replacement when Brittney Griner went down last week. The forward is certainly deserving of the honor — the three-time All-Star is enjoying her best scoring season since 2012 (10.8 points per game) and is making threes at a 41 percent clip. She also remains a strong rebounder and defender, making her a key piece to a Lynx team with plenty of star power.

Brunson and the West All-Stars take on the East Saturday at 3:15 p.m. ET in Seattle. The All-Star Game will air on ABC.
