The Indiana Fever’s Shenise Johnson will be out for the rest of this season after she tore her ACL in practice Tuesday.
The guard was the team’s third-leading scorer and averaged 11.3 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
For the team’s first year with a new head coach, Pokey Chatman, and without the legendary Tamika Catchings, the Fever is looking on track to make the playoffs. While the loss of Johnson will hurt, Chatman has been mixing up the lineup all season since Briann January missed time with a knee injury.
The Fever will next face the Mystics on Friday at home.
