We are just under two weeks away from the WNBA All-Star game and what a first half its been. While some things have unfold as anticipated (see: Lynx, Minnesota) there have been some pleasant surprises, like the emergence of Jonquel Jones or Rebekkah Brunson becoming a legitimate three-point threat for the first time 14 years into her career.

While the top two seeds appear to be all but locked up, everything else is up in the air. Yes, Washington, New York and Phoenix will make the playoffs, but what about everyone else? There will be a team in the lottery that could make some noise in the playoffs had they won one or two more games and that makes for an exciting second half. There is still some time left in the first part of the season though, so no need to wish that away yet. We only have two games on tap but they look to be ones that should be closely contended.
