8. Seattle Storm
So in no way can Breanna Stewart’s second season be called a failure so far. But a disappointment? Well, considering her lofty rookie year, most expected a leap forward in year two, including Stewart herself. But with a player efficiency rating, true shooting percentage, defensive rebounding percentage and steal percentage drop, there’s been very little to indicate progress. Considering she was a top five player last year, that’s no crime. But the pathway from playoff team to championship contender in Seattle relies on Stewart progression. That may not be fair to Stewart, but it’s the reality.
