Ah, the sweet taste of victory. A perfect day picking against the spread yesterday (don’t ask about the over/under picks; not a good year) in a day that featured no surprises. Well, other than the Minnesota Lynx dismantling the Seattle Storm in a matchup that many thought would provide tons of drama. Sylvia Fowles scored 1,000 points (okay, it was only 26, but they were all in the first half and it felt like she should have scored that many) in a game that was never close.

The Connecticut Sun won their much deserved second game of the year over San Antonio thanks in large part to an unexpected double double by USF product Courtney Williams (23 points, 10 rebounds). Lastly, the Indiana Fever won a shootout with the Dallas Wings, 91-85, getting double digit scoring from Candice Dupree (18), Briann January (16), Tiffany Mitchell (14) and Natalie Achonwa (12). Two games today both tip at 3 EST.
