Dallas Wings guard Allisha Gray named WNBA Rookie of the Month for May

Dallas guard Allisha Gray has been named WNBA Rookie of the Month for games played in May.

Gray, out of South Carolina, has started all five of the Wings’ games, and is averaging 13 points and five rebounds per contest — both league bests for rookies.

She was the fourth overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft and has scored in double figures in four of five games this season. Her season high came in a win at San Antonio when she poured on 17 points behind 6-9 shooting from the field with a pair of threes.

Gray ranks 18th overall in the NBA with a field goal percentage of 46.8.

The Wings face the Liberty on Friday night in New York.
