The Connecticut Sun are on the road to face the Washington Mystics in a Wednesday morning matinee, but one of their starters will be watching from the bench.
Just over an hour before tip-off, the Sun announced that Morgan Tuck will not play due to a right knee contusion.
Tuck, a second-year player out of UConn, was on a respectable start through five games. Promoted to a starter this year, she is averaging 11.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. That includes a career-high 21 points in the season opener, and her first career double-double in a game against Minnesota.
As a result of Tuck’s absence, look for Lynetta Kizer and Alyssa Thomas to spell her minutes as Connecticut aims for their first winning streak this season.
