Lindsay Allen set to join New York Liberty

Notre Dame point guard and 2017 WNBA second round pick Lindsay Allen is set to rejoin the New York Liberty, coach Bill Laimbeer told reporters prior to Tuesday night’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks.

Allen, New York’s second round pick, fills a hole that opened up when Brittany Boyd was lost for the season with a torn achilles.

The Liberty will also lose Epiphanny Prince, who has played a combo guard role since Boyd’s injury, to overseas commitments.

Allen averaged three points and two assists over three preseason games with New York.
