The league’s other winless team also takes the floor tonight, and what a tough one it will be for the Stars. On a positive note, tonight will be second game in a row that the trio of Moriah JeffersonKayla McBride and Kelsey Plum will all be active, and that really changes the complexion of this team. Currently in the bottom third of the league in field goal and three point percentage, scoring, effective field goal percentage, true shooting percentage and offensive rating, the Stars lineup is desperate for a breath of fresh air on the offensive end, admirable as Monique Currie‘s efforts have been as she has stayed gunning in an attempt to keep games close.

For the Lynx, it has been business as usual. With some very faint whispers from some people wondering if this roster was getting a bit old, all they have done is sprint out to a 5-0 start, thought admittedly, some of those games were closer than anticipated. Sylvia Fowles has been sensational, scoring 21.2 points per game on 59.4% shooting, while also hauling in 10.4 rebounds per game. Despite Maya Moore coming out to a relatively slow start by her standards, the Lynx are still top three in the league in scoring, assists per game, defensive pace and rebounding percentage.

Considering that both of these team’s games have been closer than expected, the 12.5 point line is actually making me nervous here. With the “big three” of the Stars in action, plus getting the 12.5, I’m going to pick the Stars and the over.
