As I correctly predicted yesterday, one of the two contests last night was surprisingly close and the other was a blow out.

Unfortunately, I had them backwards and, in the words of the great NBA player Moses Malone,  Vegas went fo-fo-fo on me.

The Atlanta Dream took care of the Los Angeles Sparks 75-73 in a game which had a thrilling finish, but quite honestly was sloppy from the tip. Candace Parker was completely shut down by Atlanta, scoring just 6 points on 3-of-11 shooting, while Tiffany Hayes poured in 24 for the Dream in route to their first home victory of the season.

In the nightcap, the Mercury continue their Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde season by being the former in a 107-65 obliteration of the Dallas Wings.  While Dallas struggled to find scoring from anybody, the Mercury simply couldn’t miss. Leilani Mitchell scored 19 off the bench, and Diana TaurasiBrittney GrinerEmma CannonShay Murphy and Cayla George all scored double digits as well. With three games on the docket today, lets take our cue from Phoenix and turn back into Dr. Jekyll with the picks.
