Injury Report: Murphy a game time decision for Phoenix
By Mike Peden
The Phoenix Mercury enter Tuesday night’s game against the New York Liberty short-handed due to Diana Taurasi’s suspension. Their roster could take an additional hit before tip-off.
On Tuesday afternoon, Phoenix announced that Shay Murphy would be a game time decision as she deals with a hamstring injury. Murphy has dressed for the last two games, but only appeared in the season opener against Dallas on May 14.
2017 marks Murphy’s return to Phoenix after a two-year hiatus. Coincidentally, the season opener was her 200th career game. She first entered the league in 2007.
Odyssey Sims still day-to-day
Odyssey Sims is still listed as day-to-day with a left ankle injury and is not with the team, the Sparks have announced.
Over two games this season, Sims is averaging 12.5 points, 4.5 assists, and three rebounds.
Los Angeles plays again Wednesday night in Indiana.
