LOS ANGELES, CA - MAY 19: Odyssey Sims

Odyssey Sims, the Los Angeles Sparks guard, is day-to-day with what is being described as a “left ankle injury”, a Sparks spokesperson told The Summitt.

Sims played just 20 minutes in Friday night’s game against the Mystics, finishing with five points, before leaving with the injury in the fourth quarter.

Sims, the biggest acquisition of the Los Angeles offseason, came to the Sparks in a trade with the Dallas Wings. Dallas sent Sims and the eleventh overall pick in the draft to Los Angeles in exchange for the fourth and twenty-third selections.

Incidentally, that eleventh pick became Sydney Wiese, who had a breakout game on Friday night—23 points, six three-pointers—and will be asked to pick up more offensive slack during any time Sims might miss.

The Sparks next play Wednesday night in Indiana against the Fever.
