Good start yesterday on the Money Line as I went 2-1 in both the spreads as well as the over/under. Let it be known I changed my pick in our Summitt group text from the over to the under in the Seattle and Los Angles game once I got word of Breanna Stewart, Sue Bird and Candace Parker all being out.  Let’s pick today’s games!

Record for the season

Spread: 2-1
Over/under: 2-1

San Antonio Stars (+15.5, -110)
Washington Mystics (-15.5, -110)
Total: 155.5

The Stars looked less than stellar in their opener against the Liberty, but what could you really expect? With no Kelsey Plum, Moriah Jefferson and Kayla McBride, the Stars were left to watch Monique Curry try to shoot them to a close game. While the Mystics are undoubtedly a high powered offensive machine, and there are plenty of questions about their defense, I’m still rolling with them in this one. Give me the Mystics and give me the under, as I’m not sure the Stars can score enough to get the total to 156.

Dallas Wings (+8.5, -110)
Phoenix Mercury (-8.5, 110)
Total: 162

Talk about two teams at completely different junctures. On one hand, you’ve got the once champions Phoenix Mercury who, since that championship, simply haven’t proven enough. Brittany Griner has yet to develop into the offensive force so many think she can be, and Diana Taurasi isn’t getting any younger. Meanwhile the Wings boost five rookies on their team, lead by Kaela Davis and Allisha Gray. Skylar Diggins-Smith will try to will this team to victory with Ariel Powers out with an injury. This one is tough, but give me the Mercury  and the under.

Indiana Fever (+2.5, -110)
Seattle Storm (-2.5, -110)
Total: 159.5

The Storm played well for most of their game yesterday against the Sparks, but ultimately the absence of Stewart and Bird proved to be too much. Fortunately, they held on to cover by a point and a half, and switching to the under ended up hitting by that same point and a half. Most sites have this game as a 5.5 spread with the Storm as the favorite, but I was able to find one at 2.5 so I’ll take it. I like the Storm and for the third time today, I’ll take the under.

Chicago Sky (+15.5, -110)
Minnesota Lynx (-15.5, -110)
Total: 157.5

Don’t tell fellow Summitt contributor  Imani Boyette about my picks… Simply put, this isn’t a case of if the Lynx win, but rather, how much. I found one site that had this game as a 11.5 spread and I would recommend you take that all day long. Even at 15.5, I still feel pretty good about it. The Lynx will have everyone on their squad available (not a given for most teams currently) and I think they roll. Give me the Lynx and the over.
