: Kelsey Plum and Moriah Jefferson will also miss Sunday’s game against the Washington Mystics.
The grand experiment involving San Antonio’s trio of talented guards is officially on hold.
The Stars launch their 2017 season with a road game against the New York Liberty on Saturday afternoon, but will do so without the services of Moriah Jefferson and Kelsey Plum. In San Antonio’s injury report, Jefferson is dealing with right knee soreness and Plum is still recovering from a right ankle sprain.
With Kayla McBride still competing in the Turkish Women’s Basketball League finals, the Stars are limited in options at guard. The only two available are Sydney Colson, a backup for the last two seasons, and Sequoia Holmes, who hasn’t played a WNBA game since 2010.
