FanDuel will offer WNBA daily fantasy game this season

Fans of the WNBA and daily fantasy sports, rejoice.

FanDuel has added the WNBA to its daily fantasy arsenal for this summer — a move that is sure to generate even more energy for the league.

The move was first discovered by David Siegel, a writer for ShatteredBackboard.com. He saw a WNBA option on the company’s website and emailed FanDuel to confirm. FanDuel’s response:

"“Thank you for contacting FanDuel Customer Support. Yes, we actually are adding WNBA to our contest offerings this year, so you will be able to play during the summer!”"

The WNBA will surely benefit from such a move, as it gives the casual fan a reason to pay attention throughout the season. FanDuel allows users to draft players and compete on a daily basis (hence the “daily” part of daily fantasy sports), either with friends or within a larger league.
