TEMI FAGBENLE

Temi Fagbenle’s path to the WNBA has little precedent. She played for Harvard as an undergraduate, then transferred to Southern California to pursue a Masters degree in strategic public relations. She was drafted by Minnesota in 2016, but chose to delay her professional career so she could complete her degree.

“The choice to continue my studies wasn’t hard because I know basketball a shelf life and a degree will last with me for my whole life,” Fagbenle said. “As you know, PR can be used in any field. I love to write. I want to act and sing.”

Of course, Fagbenle is focused on making the Lynx roster, but there’s a good chance her name will appear next to some wonderful stories as her career unfolds.
