The Money Line: Odds, Prediction for WNBA Most Valuable Player
Brittney Griner (+1000)
It’s hard to call anyone with career per-game averages of 14.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.5 blocks a disappointment, but doesn’t it seem like the full potential of Griner has yet to be seen? Yes, she was instrumental in the Mercury’s 2014 title, but the Baylor product has yet to emerge as the immovable offensive threat so many expected her to be. All that said, her defensive presence makes her a player almost every team would love to have on their roster. Already in the top 10 all-time in career blocks after just four seasons, and uptick on the offensive end could see Griner sneak into MVP talks.
