With the tenth pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft—and Dallas’ third of the first round—the Wings selected Kaela Davis out of South Carolina.
Davis, a 6’2 guard/forward, really impressed scouts with her expanded offensive role in the NCAA Tournament. Asked to fill a larger part of the offensive attack with Alaina Coates out due to injury, Davis became a force in the high post, while maintaining her ability to feed players from the wing.
She’s a solid three-point shooter and can guard twos or threes at the next level, something she’ll be asked to do with the Wings.
