Thursday night in New York, Kelsey Plum is widely expected to be selected first in the 2017 WNBA Draft. She’s won virtually every major award given out to college basketball players—WBCA and AP Player of the Year, Naismith Award, Wooden Award—she’s on pace to be the first basketball player to ever go EGOT before she plays her first professional game.
We caught up with Plum in Dallas, where she grabbed the enormous AP Player of the Year trophy, and talked about both her historic season in 2016-17 and what the future would bring for her.
